4th Annual NAIAS 2011 GTG -- Detroit Auto Show

Well folks, it's that time of year again! We're planning the annual GTG for the 2011 North American International Auto Show at the COBO Center in Detroit, Michigan. Come hang out with your TDIClub friends and check out the new offerings from car manufacturers at the country's premier auto show!

We'll have a social gathering at compu_85's place on Friday evening (Jan 14th). He has a heated 3-car garage with lift, tools, and VCDS. This will mostly be a meet-and-greet, so if you want to do anything with your car, you should post an inquiry in this thread to make sure it's okay with the host.

If you'd like to stay for the weekend, there are several local hotels. Some people will be staying at the Marriott in Ypsilanti (highly recommended by bkmetz)

As usual, bring warm clothes and your snow tires... who knows what the weather is going to be like. Regardless of weather, we will be going to the show on the 15th with no rain/snow date planned.

Garage Time:
Scurvy has requested a bay to do his timing belt. That leaves one bay, unless you guys want to help push the Mercedes around. If nobody else needs to get work done scruvy will have the lift too.

Please post in the thread if you plan on coming. I'll maintain a list of attendees in this post.

Oh snap, I forgot about karting! We should do what we did last year and go to Kart-2-Kart after the show and order pizza to eat there. That worked out really well.

Also, tickets for the show are $12 per person and can be purchased at the door!
