And consider yourself hired. $50/hr sound OK? I am cleaning up the work space and plan to start surgery within a week. The instructions I have found so far are not at all clear on what to do with the VSS. New harness going right to ECM pins? just plug in the harness that the Auto was built with?

Stuck with a 420 character limit somehow. VSS instructions are giving me heartburn. Bentley says TCM reads it. Couple posts say just plug in the harness( I think ).

I am going to be auto-to-manual on an '02 Jetta. I'd like to hire you as a consultant. Couple hours likely by the time I am done. It is the electrical stuff that scares me...have read a lot of what's been posted, but I am missing something that would allow me to proceed with some level of confidence. Are you game?
