Hi gang

I FINALLY got my RossTech license to work, thanks to Peter at RossTech and my IT savvy friend (Thanks Clay!) and now was able to read m fault codes on SUNNY, my 87 1Z powered Westy Syncro

Here's what I got:
01050 Glow Plug monitoring 35-10 intermittent
00626 Glow plug light31-1-0 open or short to ground
00575 Intake Manifold Pressure-17-10 control difference-intermittent
0625 Vehicle Speed signal 27-00-implausible signal
00519intake manifold pressure sensor (G71)

Which ones of these should I concentrate on? Any ideas welcome!

BTW, I have no speed sensor , and no glow plug light.

thanks in advance!
Steve

It's the 575 and 519 that are causing the limp mode. I've had to work through a number of the 575's over the last decade. You can run without the VSS and not have an issue, I did it for awhile when trying to diagnose an electrical issue. The glow plugs are not monitored and won't cause it. I can't tell you how many I've seen up here that don't have working glow plugs, and in Maine that can cause some problems for 7 months of the year.

Yes, it’s the map sensor inside the ECU. There is a small hose going to it, I’ll bet it’s split. Replacing it may cure both of your codes. It’s a common problem on these.

Hi Abacus,

thanks... I checked, and it was fine. While I was there, I DID replace it, sicne I have some nice silicon tubing remnants lying around from a previous B4 hose replacement project I did.
