There's also "Woolwax", which is lanolin-based like FluidFilm but reportedly is thicker in consistency...
The issue I've had with the lanolin based stuff is it doesn't last where water sprays on it. Inside frame rails, panels, etc. it works great. NH Oil Undercoating lasts a lot longer on exposed surfaces, about a year instead of the 6 months I was getting from Fluid Film. The PB Blaster Surface Shield was very well reviewed in many Youtube vids and I bought some for the crew to use at work. So far its the best I've seen. When I run out of NHOU I'll probably get a pail of that.

We bought fluid film by the gallon bucket at the township. Used it on the plow trucks, plows, augers and chains of the box salters. Worked pretty decent for storage but didn't last during plow season. Better then nothing though.

I've always bought used with about 100k on them. Ive noticed my extended family that isn't very mechanically inclined seem to sell/trade-in at that number because they notice more major issues past that or don't want to take a chance. I've always bought in at that number for that reason. Usually when you find a used vehicle with more than that the owner hasn't been taking maintenance very seriously unless they're a collector or mechanic.

Only had a couple issues over 200k nothing major ever under that # my 2004 SAAB threw a spark plug out of the head at 220k (I had it tuned for the EU version of the car and beefy injectors). And recently my 2000 frontier ka24de motor lost compression on the first cylinder and has to have the head rebuilt at 210k. Hoping my TDI lasts well above 200k. Going to be fun getting it registered next year as it hit a big pothole this spring and is missing some of those fiddly components
