Sold: 05 Passat Wagon TDI 2.0t, Texas, $11800
VolksWagen Passat Wagon TDI 2005 Diesel Made in Germany, not Mexico
This fuel efficient wagon is in excellent shape.
The 2.0l TDI engine has 247 ft/lbs of torque as low as 1750 rpm, and 137 hp. These engines are known for their performance, reliability and efficiency. It is significantly more powerful than the 1.9l available in Jettas and older Passats. The five speed tiptronic automatic transmission shifts fast and is very responsive for an automatic and has a manual mode too.
The leatherette interior, with all the GLS options make the car comfortable and safe, the leather is perforated for ventilation, seats adjust in height and lumbar support. Power windows, locks, trunk and fuel cap are all controlled from the driver’s seat. The moonroof has an automatic wind deflector.
Upholstery, ceiling and carpets are in great shape. I am including the VW floor mats that have the twist clips so they don’t move around. The car has side AND curtain airbags, so it is safe for driver and passengers, plus 5th generation ABS and Traction Control and electronic differential lock (disconnectable with a button on the dashboard). It has the safety of a great german car.
It also has the upgraded Monsoon sound system, with an factory installed amplifier in the trunk. The trunk (boot) is huge, and if you fold the back seats you have almost six feet of flat room.
I have the the switchblade remote, the valet key and manuals.
The car has 169,000 miles, but is in great shape, those are not very high miles for a diesel engine, they last a long time. My truck has 312,000 miles. There are very small rock chips on the front of the hood, everything else seems like new. I have the service records from official VW dealers.
The car had a big service by the dealer at 163,000 receiving new belts (timing one too), water pump, timing chain, filters, etc. So it should be good to go for many more miles without much expensive maintenance.
Book value is between $13,200 and $15000, after discounting $1900 for the miles. I am only asking for $11800.
