Hello,

I will not take the credit for this.

the credit goes to TJ Cannon on Facebook,

CC seats in the sportwagen. This is what I did and it worked for me. There could be better ways to go about it, but this was what I figured out without access to diagrams or VCDS or anything. These seats came from a 2013 CC and my car is a 2011. I would assume other years are the same, but I really don't know.
Also, because I was asked on my other post, I paid $300 for these from a guy that was parting one out. In retrospect, I would have liked to find a little nicer set, but I wasn't 100% sure they would work, so I didn't want to spend any more
For liability purposes, all I know is that the airbag light isn't on, the connector was the same, but I can't guarantee they work (and hopefully never find out, haha)

Comment: This is the main connector on the driver's side, it only needed to be re-pinned. This was how it looked before moving the pins. You have to pull the purple terminal lock out, it'll click like seen to let you pull the terminals out of the connector

comment: This is what the terminals look like. You can see the locking tab right in the middle, and there's another one on the other side as well

comment: There's some kind of proximity sensor here on the JSW drivers seat. I don't really know what it does, but it looks like it was only tripped when the seat is all the way forward. The CC seats didn't have this, so I pulled it loose and just zip tied it up in the new seat and routed the wire down to plug it in.

Was it necessary? I have no clue, but I didn't want to pull it back apart if it had a light on

comment: This was the connector re-pinned for the JSW

comment: Passenger side was a bit more complicated. I ended up swapping the seat belt, the gray (occupant sensor?) module and the harness that goes to the seat belt and module.

This is a spot where more VW knowledge would help, this may have been unnecessary, but the plug(s) for the seat belt were different and that gray module says right on it not to change components, so I figured I'd be safer leaving it with the car.

comment: This is what I transferred over from the JSW seat as well as that gray module. There is a pressure sensor as well that plugs into this harness, but both had the same part number, so I didn't change it

comment: This part is a pain with no power, you have to run the seat slides all the way one way (I think back if I remember right) then pull this plastic cap to get to the seat belt bolt. I had an extra battery in the shop and you can put power to the red/yellow wire and ground the brown wire to move the slides

comment: Here's the difference in seat belts. The CC has one 5-pin connector and the JSW had 2 separate connectors. The wire colors were the same, and the terminals look the same, so it might be possible just to re-pin the CC belt clip into the JSW connectors, but I didn't try. The JSW belt also has a tab that looked like it would interfere with the power slides on the CC seats, so I cut that off (you can see it still there next to my knuckles in the picture)

comment: I also had to re-pin the main connector just like the drivers side. This was it re-pinned and with the added connectors ready to bolt in. I also took some time after this to zip tie everything and make sure everything had good strain relief, then tossed a little loom back on it to church it up, then bolted it in

uncomfortable seats to better comfort seats with more support per TJ Cannon on Facebook.

I have the same CC seats but yet installed for 2015 Passat TDI SE, she has very uncomfortable seats.... stiff as heck and no lumbar support. it's flat. hurts our injured backs during the twisty roads and the likes..

I wish but nope. JSW TDI's are one style. Passats gets 2. SE gets worst of the worst. Passat SEL's are a more nicer plus memory seats.

VW CC is nice as Passat SEL but no memory, thats ok we will be fine with the CC seats for the Passat. my JSW seat are perfect for me.

I concur lol my 2015 Passat being black exterior with black interior is brutal hot! going into my 2014 JSW with cornsilk interior plus Xpel tints made the massive differences, I would say 75 percent cooler.

Passat has LLumar tints, will replace them with Xpel tints soon. will be driving the Passat tomorrow as my JSW is down for the time being...... a week until parts come. meh, not looking forward to the heat in the Passat. LOL

Hmm... this sounds appealing. I hate the lack of lumbar in these seats and it seems in pushes my shoulders forward as well.

Any after pics of them in the car? Do they take up the same amount of space? I have growing kids in the back of mine and don't want to impinge on their space or mine any more than current. Thanks!

... None :S
The CC seats are really nice. I had a set in our '12 Passat. They adjust lower than the original seats, and also have independent adjustment of the front and back of the lower cushion.

It wasn't hard to get them hooked up either. A couple wires had to be swapped in the plug for the heated seats. I also moved the butt sensor in the passenger seat over from the original seat. I recall that I had to fold the capacitive pad in half or something because the leather read differently than the pleather of the NMS seats.
