Idemitsu Type J

It is a Jatco transmission, so any suitable ATF of that variety... we use the Idemitsu Type J here, too. Nissan has a flavor known as J-matic. Volkswagen sells their version of it too, but it costs a lot more.

Oilhammer, I messaged Idemitsu since apparently the Type-J is no longer in production. I asked what its direct replacement is and received the response below.

Idemitsu ATF Type S superseded Type J.
Idemitsu ATF Type S recommended for application where Matic S, Matic J and Matic D fluids are specified.

Please note that we recommend a complete flush of the existing transmission fluid prior using Idemitsu ATF Type S in your vehicle.
