I need a new timing belt/water pump for my 2015 Golf Sportswagen manual. Generally, what should parts and labor cost? I have one estimate of $1,500.

Thanks.

yeah all regional for cost but I'd say that's what i expect to pay up here in NH.

Heck travel north to some shops up here and save the tax and stop by the highway safety rest area and stock up on booze.

one thing you need to verify is they are changing out that water pump. some shops say the book doesn't call for it unless it leaks.

Its best to change it out while your there.

I always get the water pump changed. Unwise not to. None of these three shops is especially close to me. My main go-to is KMH Motors in Methuen, MA. Keith and his crew have always done great work on my cars.

I’m also going to switch out the serpentine belt and tensioner.

And I thank you. I knew of Chris but not the other two. KMH is $800-950, depending on if I want to change the serpentine belt/tensioner. I’ll contact the others.
