Silencing the Competition?

Could a mod or admin please explain why Scott Dewitt's thread questioning Kerma's exclusivity claims on the South Bend "silent" clutches in the vendor classified section was locked without explanation?

I have no dog in this fight as I am associated with none of the parties involved. I am simply a fan of capitalism based in truly free markets. I want to believe that Fred's fine site would not be quietly complicit in assisting in the monopolization of another high demand product (Colt cams anyone?) Please say it isn't so.

The thread was locked for a few reasons.

1. Scott made clear what was is going on, no further explanation or comments needed.

2. To prevent the thread from being hijacked and trolled from fanboys from the competition. Think of the lock as flame war abatement, not repression of speech.

The same reason this thread was locked, an adequate explanation was given and nothing more needs to be said.
