I don't know how you get 22 days. There was only one holiday. 24 days is correct.

I am not understanding why VW is stalling here. The amount of hoops they put up is unnecessary. They don't need to hire more people. That's just a BS excuse to stall this process and drag it out for another 6 months to a year. Dealers are bored, they do this crap everyday. Verify ownership and agreed upon amount, plug it in to a program to verify the vehicle qualifies, verify the vehicle runs and was driven in, get a payoff, notarize the "I hold not future claims for the vehicle, power of attorney for the title. EBT or check in the mail. Done.

Whatever fees the dealers would charge for this service would be at worst case a wash.

VW clearly has an agenda here, and it's not to win back customers. Is the judge tooo stupid to see this?

Sure, it COULD be stalling, or it could be the obvious, and that they've had 400,000 people to process, and have to deal with banks, auditors, people calling up twice a day to check on their status, etc. Things will calm down, everyone will get processed. It's not in VWs interest to delay, they're just swamped.

Per the FTC Consent Order, Thanksgiving as well as the days before and after are defined as holidays.

Uploaded 10/10 and still waiting on the review. I have a loan on the car (not through VW credit) so I'm sure that is causing the hold up.
Also I'm getting flooded with emails from my Dealer telling me how to file a claim, and to make sure to list them as a return location. LOL

Just received an email and my docs were accepted... now on to the next stage of hurry up and wait.

27 for me as well. Docs were supposedly sent to the auditor on 11/5. I called the claim line a few weeks ago and was told I should have my offer by 11/28.

Docs accepted after about 3 weeks. Appointment on 12/21 to drop car off (lease termination). I'll miss the car but I planned to buy it at lease end and will not do that with the questions over the fix. I don't want it to turn into a Yugo (apologies to Yugo owners everywhere).

How are folks determining that they are pending 3rd party auditor? When I call I am just told that I am juts waiting on an offer letter and they have no further info.

Done, turned in Dec 7th, computer system problems, got receipt next day, Friday email fro chase, system problems had to wait until the afternoon to input bank info,
Tuesday morning got funds.

Got my 1996 Passat Wagon back on the road, with no heat (blend door foam gone)


No new VW's in my future.
