I’d like to put the PD170 turbo (from a BRD engine), Borg Warner # 53039900109, on my 1Z and I’m having trouble determining the proper turbo drain line. I plan to mount it using a BHW or AFN exhaust manifold and run more or less stock intercooler pipes to it. Trying to stick with as much OEM stuff as I can for now just to get it running, although the down pipe will need to be custom.

Will the BHW oil drain line work? I plan to use a braided line for the feed.

You can use AFN/AVG/AHH/AWX and AVF exhaust manifolds to fit the turbo plug and play on longitudinal platform…

From what I understand it’s the ones with the integrated manifold that hit. Slightly different turbo positioning.

I am trying to figure out which turbo support bracket I need…
If running an afn or bhw manifold you need this bracket.

I have had that turbo on various b5/b6 tdi engines without the support bracket…ran them for years…it’s good to have it !
