Sounds like we're leaving Ross with his grandmother. So just 2 of us coming up in the CDI. Probably around 3pm or so. Do we have a glaring food omission? We do have plates and napkins that we could bring.

It was a great time, many thanks to Peter and Julie for hosting it once again. Many thanks also to all who came, new and old alike, you truly make them great.

The conversation was great and the wrench time minimal due to the temperature and bay availability. The food was OUTSTANDING as usual, many thanks to Lawson for manning the grill. I was smelling the Chicken Satay on my hands the whole way home despite washing them a few times. I was glad to see people trying out the snow bikes, which was also a lot of fun.

Surprizingly the intake was clean, and the car has no evidence of CAT clogging. And just to further rustle Jack, Mike (co-worker) was pulled over for driving 85 on his way to the Fest.
I had the intake cleaned; and I put some additive in EVERY refill I did. Don't know if that helped...

A great time as always! Thanks for your hospitality, Peter and Julie! It's always nice to catch up with the New England crew.

We left around 10am today and there was already a couple of inches of snow on the ground. The highways were just wet and we made it home around 7:30. Not as quick of a trip as the drive up, but not too bad considering how panicked people get when snow is falling.

I think we even managed to break 50 mpg on the trip home, which will be the best tank ever for the Jetta. The new IP is awesome!

Big thanks to All, and of course to Peter and Julie for opening up their home to all of us crazy wrenchers!
Also big thanks to everyone who encouraged me/gave me pointeres while working on the clutch swap, damn was I sore the next morning... laying on that concrete really takes it out of ya!

Thanks to TDIDaveNH for hanging around till I was done, pitching in with a helping hand to help me get the car put back together, Thanks!

The new SBC Stage 2 Endurance is sweet - super light pedal feel, very quick engagement!

I'm thinking next year - engine swap?? ;) :D

To all,

This was a small but really great GTG. Weather was cold but we burned a bunch of wood and the garage was comfortable.....

That silver car came back................. The clutch was AOK but the Alt pulley rusted off the alt shaft but as luck would have it HWGEEK had a spare.

Thanks to EVERYone this was a great time.

All cleaned up and the house is back to normal well after a foot of snow..

NOTE lets keep our respective fingers and lets see if we can get Jeff to spend some time here.

Peter & Hamsterdiesel

we can not do this with out all your help

Glad everyone had a good day and Happy New Year to all. We got back to MA Sat AM and 3 degrees was quite a shock from the ~80 we left in FL.
