Well I am a woman so I am not overly concerned with what the ladies think. And think of all the hot women that will not be attracted to you now that the diesel is gone!

I am on the same boat... I purchased a '17 Wolfsburg in a manual. I have a '14 Golf and one of the differences is the seating position. It seems, at least to me, that the seat on the '14 can go lower than in the '17... nothing bad, just different. One thing that I noted is the engine sound. These TSI engines make a distinctive sound that you might make you think there is something wrong with them; there isn't... Also, the car feels bigger inside (I think it is because of the MQB platform)... I see on my commute to work between 40-43 mpg (80% hwy).. What I noted is that I have to stop more frequently to put gas than in the diesel (550 miles on the diesel on avg vs 400 on the gasser). Overall? I am happy with the carThe Wolfsburg I bought was an automatic & included the monster mat kit with the trunk liner. OTD was $20200 which included 6% PA sales tax, new plates, & doc fees.
Discounted price of the car with owner loyalty was $18796
Nice! I like that green, looks good! I'm right with you, I had a hard time with making a color choice too and went with red. The gray I liked had a pretty blue hue to it but only in the sunlight, otherwise it was just flat gray. I just received my VIN number on Wednesday and it's in build status. Should be ready right after I turn the JSW in, same turn in date as you. Congrat's again!I finally have things finalized for my Pilot. I'm getting the Touring AWD; the color was a tough choice, since I really like the red as well, but this is what it will look like (the green is a bit darker in person):
It's being built later this month, and it should be ready mid-February, a week or two after my buyback.
I'm going to be very happy to be back in the Honda family.
My husband absolutely loves his new crew cab Silverado, me too! We got the bench seat so it seats 6 and it's comfortable! Our neighbor said it's not even like a truck inside, lol. It rides nice and is quieter than the JSW.That's about the same mileage I get on my 07 Canyon extended cab with the 2.8l 5 speed manual. If only I could convince the wife that a new truck was a necessity.
Congrats! I love the color! I love the grills on the Ram trucks, Ram Tough!I ended up going another direction, lol. Terrible picture, but here you go. 2016 Ram 1500 Big Horn with the 5.7L. Got a decent deal on a CPO with 14k miles.
Fuel economy wise...it's not bad, by truck standards. It's 15 city / 21 highway. The display had it at 21 MPG on the highway. I'm curious how that works out when I go to hand calculate it. Once you get on the highway, set the cruise, and the "econ" mode/cylinder deactivation kicks in...it purrs along nicely.
Around town though...lol. Seriously...this thing sounds amazing. Can't wait to fill this thing up (not), lol.
Thank you. I was a bit anxious going to get it (~50 miles), but when I pulled onto the lot and saw it sitting there...I instantly was like .Congrats! I love the color! I love the grills on the Ram trucks, Ram Tough!
I knew Chris personally. He was a great guy and a wonderful human being. He is missed for many reasons. RIP Chris.Been looking and comparing different VW dealers used inventory. I really miss and appreciate what a great job Chris F from Langhorne VW did as i go through the search.

Doesn't the camry 4cyl require synthetic 0w-20 oil? Toyota increased the change interval to 10k miles for many of these, its possible that yours is different though... The v6 still used conventional oil.
That's so awesome!Thank you. I was a bit anxious going to get it (~50 miles), but when I pulled onto the lot and saw it sitting there...I instantly was like .
Same here, our local dealer said 6-8 weeks for the Wrangler build and the VA dealer 4-5. I did ask the local dealer if they could put me in a loaner and they said yes, but when it came to price they didn't even try to match the VA dealer, they just said it was a great deal and that I needed to take it. I had told them I had done my homework on pricing and I think he thought I was bluffing until I showed him the quote.Nice!
If anything falls through with the green, I'm going to go with the red one that will be ready closer to the end of the month. The green one, as I learned yesterday, is an order trade so while they're pretty sure they'll get it, they don't have official confirmation yet. I also really like the red, and I have another vehicle I can drive in the interim, so it won't be a tragedy if that one falls through.
The green one is set to be built in the window that starts in about a week, and a month from the build seems to be the standard for arrival. I don't know why the other dealer told me 60-90 days, but that really put me off getting one from them.
Had a 17 impala for a rental car over New Years week. I was happy to return it. Big turning radius and car kind of wallowed around town. Biggest issue was the first time I pulled out to pass, the car felt like it couldn't decide which wheel to spin for acceleration.I am going to pick up a used 2016 Chevy Impala today. I have mixed emotions. I will miss my car once I turn it in but after it started having issues out of warranty this seemed like an easy way out. I am sad people will now have to meet me to know how cool I am rather than just know it by the car I drive and I am really going to miss the manual. not to mention the mileage.
See, I could potentially have believed them if literally every other dealer didn't tell me about the various ways they could potentially get one sooner. Of course, among those dealers was the one who said I could see what they had in inventory when the buyback was completed, even though I told him that I wanted a specific trim in one of two colors. If I wanted a white or silver one, sure, since those are all over inventories all the time, but not green or red.Same here, our local dealer said 6-8 weeks for the Wrangler build and the VA dealer 4-5.
Sometimes you have to shake the tree.Picked up my GLI replacement. Now still waiting on offers since Nov 4. Talked to the TDI specialist at the dealer today about the long wait and she advised me to call the claims line and pitch a fit on the phone. It has worked for others she said. Not really my style to yell at people though.
I understand your pain but anyone who says the freezing intercooler is unfixable is in denial. Just drill a 1/16" / ~1mm hole in the lower intercooler pipe and drive on. I did so on our '11 and have had no issues since, even when driving from the wet Willamette valley to frozen central Oregon, which we do 2x a month, year round.I was thinking of getting the MK7 GTI as a replacement but I am kind of angry at VW and also with the amount of repairs I've had to do with my MK6 TDI has me really not wanting to go back to VW. Especially with the frozen intercooler problem that they can't fix! Driving one time on the highway during winter and losing power because of a frozen intercooler was really dangerous and scary!
The Bolt EV does sound interesting. How does it compare to the Golf/Jetta in size/luggage space?Anyway I've recently discovered the Chevrolet Bolt EV. You have 200 hp, 266 lb-ft of torque and 0-60 in 6.5 seconds and no problems with egr, frozen intercooler, etc. I think VW is really going to have to offer me some real incentives on a new car because after 15 years of owning VW's I think its time to say goodbye.
