I think I can build a 240 amp one for those, but it would not be cheap.
But for most things the stock one would be plenty.

Geez, 140A isn't enough? Most of the time, the car's loads won't tax even that. What are you trying to do?
A very good and loud stereo will easily eat up 200A . My sub pulls 200A by its self. 50A for my mid bass, and 100A for my woofer and tweets. But I have a second batt and dual 5F caps to help even out the Amp draw.

You can check out US Alternators. They built me a 330amp large case hairpin to my spec with clutched pulley (many HO alt companies use solid underdrive pulleys) and optimized regulator voltage that changes based on temperature. (ie +15v in sub-freezing and 14.4v in high summer temps.)

This was for my ALH golf, so I have no clue for your vehicle, but of all companies I contacted (Mechman, Singer, JS, etc) only US was able to build what I wanted.

Good luck with your HO journey. It is tricky to find a builder....
