I don't think teflon makes a very good conductor. You may have grounding problems getting a connection through the threads. It also lubricates the threads, so torque will be way off spec.

There is a taper on the GP which seals combustion, not the threads. As above, the gp may have issues with proper grounding if the threads are insulated with Teflon tape.

I wasn't questioning your question...ing (thats a funny saying), I was just wondering if you were trying to fix something I guess. Like someone a glowplug hole/thread cracked or expanded and you were wanting to seal it up or something.

It would still ground at the seat area unless that were taped too. Then you'd be relying on it being squeezed out.

The asker prolly has a leaker he's trying to repair.

He should have questioned the questioner.
