Thats a dirty April fools joke. Kicking myself for not filling my slip tank last week, 1.62 is the cheapest I've seen in a while.+4 cents effective from today due to carbon tax...
Yeah that'll teach em...My wife was showing me some clowns last night on social who were getting fuel and live streaming that no one should buy fuel this week to "show the government" that we won't stand for this....

You make me want to puke!cost for fuel $588.
You say no reason at all, insurance company cites poorer claims experience in your new postal code. You make me want to puke!
My insurance rate was jacked up more than that for no reason at all. (read moving to a different postal code in the same city)![]()
Bullshit.Doesn't help that there was a $0.25 increase in Carbon tax on diesel on Jan. 1 2025. Weather isn't playing a factor for the jump in RUG and D2 since Jan. 1
You're right. My timeline is off by 4 months. Glad you cleared by bullshit up...........but the real bullshit is the tax itself.Bullshit.
As of April 1, 2024, the federal carbon tax on diesel in Ontario is 21.39 cents per liter. This tax is scheduled to increase to 25.40 cents per liter on April 1, 2025.

I definitely get more in rebate cheques than I pay in carbon tax, not sure why that's so unpopular.100%
I suspect that whoever gets elected as the new CLP leader will scrap the tax as they know it is widely unpopular among many canadians.
You need to recheck your math. There is absolutely no way this government gives you back more than they take. Did you factor in the price of everything you purchase that has increased? Almost everything that was made or shipped to you involves petroleum products.I definitely get more in rebate cheques than I pay in carbon tax, not sure why that's so unpopular.
There is no way to accurately calculate the impact fuel costs have on goods and services I buy, but you are correct, it is a factor. You need to recheck your math. Just checked my quarterly bill. Electricity $330, Delivery $300, Regulatory Charges $21, HST $85, Ontario Rebate -$101, Total $635. No carbon tax.Check your hydro bill lately? Mine has more carbon tax than actual electricity. We easily pay in 1 month what we get back per quarter not even factoring in inflation on food and goods.
Gosh darn it! Those darn PP bootlickers will eat anything up about carbon tax!Just checked my quarterly bill. Electricity $330, Delivery $300, Regulatory Charges $21, HST $85, Ontario Rebate -$101, Total $635. No carbon tax.
Electricity is not considered a fossil fuel, so is not subject to carbon tax.
