Bout freakin time.

This hasn't happened in a long time (for me anyway). Diesel was actually 5 cents LESS than RUG. In my area Diesel has been at least 10 cents more for a while and even up to a dollar more in recent months as all of you know, i'm sure.

80 cents HIGHER than RUG out here. Both started climbing at the same time so the differential stayed pretty much the same.

Diesel is still +60 cents over RUG in Minnesota. I doubt diesel is cheaper that RUG in MI, I'm not buying it.

Your last "fuelly" fill up showed you paid $3.699 per gallon on 1/11/12. I'll admit that's at least $.20 better than here in the Minneapolis area but still higher than the national average for RUG?

Pricing error?

Diesel hasn't been cheaper than RUG in years for any significant period of time, and certainly not in the middle of winter.

Middle of Winter-Yes, Cold-NO!

It might be the middle of winter, but it has been a Mild Winter so far.

Heck, last week in Edmonton, it went up to 11c or 50f. The Bikes were even out!

So I can see Diesel being cheaper than Gas.

Diesel is more than RUG even in the non-winter parts of the year (at least in most parts of the US). Being a mild winter might mean the spread is less, but doesn't hasn't changed the balance so far this winter. (30 to 80 cents per gallons more)

Around here, when gas price jumps up diesel price lags by a couple of days, so when we get a big price increase in gas, diesel cost is lower for 1 or 2 days.

RUG = Regular Unleaded Gasoline
The term "unleaded" should be retired since it is all unleaded now. It made sense back when gasoline with lead was still sold due to the few cars with catalytic converters; now that all cars have them and that lead has been banned for 16 years (since 1 January 1996), we should drop it. After all, "Premium" has replaced the old term "Ethyl".

All this means is that the RUG in your area is way high. The average in ABQ is $2.92 today.
I just paid $3.68 for diesel this morning.

Be Nice

You're right I made it all up.....OH Wait.....

:)

Now be nice. Just because your tale was impossible for most
of us to believe is NO REASON to get nasty, is it?

I for one would like to see those prices around here in Southern California
where I paid $4.079 for good old Union 76 (Unifuel) this morning.
That's is the best price for quality fuel in these parts!

I will bet that the prices you posted will not be at that level for long. :p
In fact, as someone said, that was most likely a mistake! Time will indeed tell!

Now if only my new-to-me CDI could be filled for less than $80. Oh well, its only money.
And it's so much nicer than was my JSW. And for the same money also.
Just costs more to fuel up, but well worth it to me.

You know us old duffers like our big cars! :p

Keep us posted when that one station raises their prices up
to be more in line with all the other stations in that area!

:D

Hello? Mr. Green? Excuse us? How old was your fancy-shmancy MB when it cost the "same money"?

A little clarity here, puh-leeze...or have you been hanging out with the same guys that tell us our cars are an "investment"?
