Yes we were flying
This picture was taken on the Ypres Rally in Belgium in August, one of our most successful rallies in 2001.
Over three days of solid thrash we gave the car an awesome battering. I have now been involved in Motorsport for 21 years, but i am still continuously impressed at the strength of the standard VW Diesel cars.
In all honesty we did do a wee bit of damage to the sump after this heavy landing. The Alu sumps mights be light, but it doesnt take much to crack them. There is however an obvious fix to this problem.
Our team and company now has quite a lot of experience with rallying Diesel Golfs, so if anybody needs any help let me know.
