Hopefully the issues capt_slow had are not the norm. I purchased a Passat from Roger Jobs and it was as clean as the day it was built with the new car smell. They changed all the fluids and also flushed the urea tank and lines because it only has a shelf life of around a year, and after that it will start to crystallize. I did look at one at a dealer south of Bellingham and it was dirty, had some rust under the door handles, etc. So there can be a huge difference in how different dealers took care of these 2015's.

I find it amazing a dealer would skimp on a car for a few hundred dollar profit.

All social media is a hammer with these poor quality dealers.

i. e.

One negative review to BBB will stay on the internet for a looooog time. All one needs to do is tell the truth

Picked up a Golf 6MT SEL Silk Blue. Near impossible to find but I was determined. Called dealers through the entire northeast before finding one.
GREAT FIND! That is probably the perfect Golf. Do the SEL's have factory bi-xenon's? Or is that a separate lighting package for all 2015's?

Not positive about that but I would say that it probably is standard on the SEL.

Just got a 2015 jetta s. Brand spanking new 200 miles on the clock. Was kept under a "carport" of sorts for 2 years lol. My dealer replaced 4 tires, front and rear rotors and pads for surface rust, brake fluid, oil, and did a dsg service as that fluid breaks down to just sitting. May help that i work for vwag... who knows lol.

Got the $5000 rebate, $1500 off sticker for unmentioned reasons, got gap insurance and a 7yr. 100k platinum bumper to bumper warranty. Plus the factory warranties and extensions.

Couldnt be happier.

Its a separate lighting package. Lots of SEL's with halogen lights.

I agree that golf looks great

No it's a 995$ option
You are correct, I am just looking at my window sticker now and seeing my lighting package listed as one of my options and not standard.

Who was your dealer? None that I talk to are coming off sticker any more than the $5000.

So far, delighted with the car.. It handles great, cruises down the highway as if it's a much larger car at any speed you dare travel. The gargantuan sunroof is very nice. The rain sensing wipers take a little getting used to. Some things are odd, but configurable. Ambient lighting in the footwells... strange... On the door panels, kinda nice. I am concerned that if the infotainment system dies, it will be painful.

All at an average of 42.9 mpg according to the car. We'll see what the actual is...

Found out the hard way that the WS wipers cannot just be flipped out for washing from the normal stopped position. They gouge the hood paint. RTFM to find they need to be put in "service" position. drat.

Added VW door sill "foils", VW door edge guards and Dawn Enterprises body side molding to try and protect the shiny black paint. All installed pretty easily and look great. I was concerned about the BSM, but it actually seems to bring out the lines of the car.

Just bought from Baxter in Omaha, a Silver 2015 Golf S, $8500 off sticker (per the sale), great lease payment - damn near zero money factor. Seems to be a fair price for a used 2015, but this one only has 700 miles! Only 10k miles per year, but with at $12,400 buyout in 24 months, the six year cost to own will be far below a brand new one. They are almost gone here....

Interestingly, I have two teenage drivers (who are chomping at the bit to learn how to drive stick), and my insurance was really very affordable!

Included was the change of all fluids, "greybar" clay treatment, a full detail, and the full 3/36k bumper to bumper. I'll look at the forums and decide on an extended warranty when the lease is up.

Averaging 39mpg in mixed driving around Omaha, on one highway run, got 46.5mpg. Love the 6 speed manual, and don't mind the "base", as it has lots of options included.

The last VW diesel manual I drove was my moms '79 Rabbit .... back in NJ. Was fun when some dude would tailgate the underpowered Rabbit up the Rt 280 hill out of South Orange, and you'd drop that back into 3rd and smoke'em out! No such luck with the 2015!

It was the lease deal. Compared to any new 2017 (and there are no new diesels), this was a good deal. Not a steal, but a good deal.

Was this a legitimately used car (ex-loaner, titled, etc.)? 700 miles on the odometer seems pretty high for a 2015 TDI.

I received my first lease bill yesterday. I logged into VWCredit, and payoff amount shows $17,172.54. I made one payment at signing ($274.54), so if I pay off the lease now car will cost $17,447.08. Interest and fees deducted from lease for early payoff total $684.37. Payoff includes MA sales tax on the remaining lease payments, or $371.43. So without tax my cost of the car is $16,801.00. This compares to $19,698.90 if I'd purchased. So if I pay the lease off now it saved about $2,900.

However, I may keep the lease, at least for a year. If I pay it off now I have to pay registration and inspection fees again, and with the lease I have the benefit of GAP coverage. $340/year to keep the coverage and not tie up the cash in the car isn't a huge cost.

Besides, I received my insurance bill for the GSW. $444/year. I'm not unhappy with that.

Buy 2.0 TDI Jetta?

I have a 2.0 TDI 2015 Jetta Comfortline reserved. (near Toronto, Canada)

MSRP: $ 26,690 CAD
Incentive: - $ 6,000 CAD
Total after fees/taxes, etc.: $ 26,510 CAD
They are offering 0.0% APR for 60 months (finance only)
Warranties:
4 yr 80,000 km B2B
5 yr 100,000 km PT
12 yr 200,000 km rust

I'm not sure its the greatest offer, and I am concerned with the fact that the cars were stored outside for so long.

Anyone worried about these cars causing major problems right after warranty?

Why pretty high? I'm looking at one with 7000 miles already on it as the new 2015s are all gone up here - anything I should be looking out for?

Sorry. I meant 700 miles is high for a new/unused car, even if it is 2015. If it is a legitimately used car, dealers should not be advertising MSRP on it.

WOW! Looking at your numbers, your taxes and fees are almost $6000 on a $26700 car. makes me glad I don't live in Toronto.

Ah ok that makes sense. I'm in Canada and the new 2015s flew off the lots right away (mostly only ones left are priced at MRSP)and there are definitely some dealers taking advantage of it, especially when pricing their used 2015s.

I agree that 700 miles is a little high for a new 2015.
