Kerma no longer sells the 17/22 Garret turbo that was a popular upgade for the mk3 tdi (im sure i could find it elsewhere though). Does anyone have any experience with the new 17plus? $1500 is quite a price tag. Can't find any information on whether this can even be retrofitted to the mk3

Other option I'm considering is the 1856v, and at half the cost makes a pretty compelling argument for using that instead https://www.xmanturbos.com/product-...240bhp-hybrid-turbocharger-with-large-vnt20-c

Thoughts?

What are your power goals?
I just ordered a GTC1549VZ but I’m not looking for 200HP.

hands down the 1856. his price is inflated because its probably one of the "originals" made by garrett. but xman sells a 1752 as well, for far cheaper.. but i prefer the 1856 with a little headroom - as far as these old gen turbos go
