Not sure where to put this, sorry if this is the wrong location.

I am having some parts sent over from a UK based company to the US. I figured a few members here have some experience and could help me out.

Is there any companies that I should avoid or a preferred company? I don't want them to sneak in a lot of brokerage fees or duties. I am currently looking at UPS and DHL but would possibly consider Royal Mail/USPS.

Any info would be greatly appreciated!

How much do the parts weigh? Light packages (under 10 lbs.) can be shipped pretty inexpensively via the Postal Service. But for heavier packages I'd go with DHL. You will have to pay Brokerage fees and taxes. They're not "sneaked in" that's part of the shipping cost. DHL can give you a complete quote.

Keep in mind that if you use Royal Mail you'll not have tracking once the package enters the US. If it gets lost there won't be a way to trace it, most likely.
