TDIFest relies on volunteers.

This whole event is planned and executed by volunteers.

Here's your chance to lend a hand to your TDI community by becoming a Fest volunteer on site in Sturgeon Bay, WI!

Please respond to this thread with days and times you'd be willing to help us out. I will contact you via PM with the items we need help with that match the times you are available.

This is a great way to get to meet your fellow club members or for significant others to meet others who may also be 'along for the ride.'

You don't even need to know a thing about diesels to be of help!

In case you were wondering, these are the kinds of things we are looking for help with:

Friday afternoon volunteer positions:

Set up raffle/silent auctions/registration/merchandise areas
Handing out goody bags/assisting with registration
Watching over raffle/silent auction/merchandise tables
Parking lot/lobby greeters & information
Meet & Greet bouncer
Trivia host and assistant/spotter

Saturday volunteer positions:

Handing out goody bags
Watching over raffle/silent auction/merchandise tables/information table
Breakfast bouncer

Sunday volunteer positions:

Watching over raffle/silent auction/merchandise tables
TDIClub central tent information table
set up/strike TDIClub central tent
Raffle set up
Awards banquet bouncer

Monday volunteer positions:

Help strike tables and chairs from tents
Help pack up merchandise and supplies

I can be available on all 4 days. Lisa and I are planning to arrive on Thursday before TDIfest so I can rest up after driving 1240 miles from NH.

Planning on arriving Thursday. I can help Fri-Sun. Will fill in where you can use me with one exception; I have a blown disc in lower back, so no heavy lighting.

Take your time. I had my L5-S1 done in May. Recovery went well but I still have a patch of numbness in my lower calf, ankle, and big toe.

Like in a TDI, I will only be stopping twice for fuel along the way with the BMW's 600 mile tank range. I will be doing the drive straight through (1240 miles) like I normally do when I drive from NH to Cocoa Beach FL (1400 miles).

Sure! Someone at registration will be able to direct you to me since I will lining up the volunteers for various jobs at various times.

A big thank you to those who have shown an interest in volunteering. Some of you have heard from me by now.
Those who've claimed 'flexibility' with their schedules - I may have to coordinate with you on site to fill in the gaps. Please let me know if there is any time/day you cannot do - I'll be able to better fill our needs while meeting yours.

My exact issue - L5-S1. Numb left buttock and left foot. Surgery will be done Nov or Dec. Drive from Reno will be interesting, but looking forward to the event. Glad to hear your surgery went well overall.

I have missed the Ho5G for sure Lots of fantastic memories. I will make it for one of the infamous GTG's

I think it will be really nice to get the "red tee shirt group" together for a reunion
