Vendors at the fest? Import Duty? Exchange Costs?

I might be interested in being at this year's fest, but what are the import issues with bringing goods into Canada and selling them? Does anyone know what limits there are?And since this is somewhat close to the border with the US, do some places accept US dollars?
What is normally charged to exchange money in Canada - IE: cash at a bank? I have to admit that I have never been to Canada and am a little ignorant about what is normal on border areas in Canada. I know that in Germany, that near US military installations, German businesses would accept either German mark/Euro and the dollar.

Border crossings are simple, say are you bringing anything into canada, why no I am not .

Yes, but you are from Canada....what might they say to a carload or trailerload of stuff...especially in this day and age......look the other way? "I have nothing....but what is that load of crap you have?" LOL LOL
