Hello everyone. I'm not new to the forum but very new to A3 TDIs. I just picked up a 2011 A3 TDI and I am having trouble with the coding of the locking and comfort modules.

For instance I want my windows to go up and down with the key fob and I want to turn auto locking/unlocking off, as well as disable selective locking... I have a full featured VAG-COM cable, I've had it for years, but whatever procedure I follow, and whatever I do, it just doesnt work. I follow all Long coding, I find the features, disable and enable what I should, and it still doesn't work, even if the coding is accepted.

What am I doing wrong? How can I get these features working/disabled?

Here is the car:

I'll make a proper intro post soon.

Nevermind this. I got it figured out. I had to do some probing however, and the folks at Ross-Tech had made one little post about it, nothing formal.

Any A3 that is a TDI is a 2010+ and they use a difference BCM module for comfort and features of the like.

Following these procedures listed below allowed for these features to become available only:

http://wiki.ross-tech.com/wiki/index.php/Audi_A3/S3_&_A3_Cabriolet_(8P/FM)_Tweaks

http://www.ross-tech.com/vcds/tour/recode_screen.html

But ultimately, it took the following page/procedure to enable (turn on) the desired features using the MFD:

This is now resolved and I am happy once again!

Enjoy your '11 A3 TDI ... that's a close approximation to my '11. I still haven't invested in a VAG-COM and now that I'm over 100k miles I'm wondering if I should ... would like to program my FOB to do a little more than stock ...
