I own a 2002 5-speed Golf TDI. With the help of the tdiclub community, I was able to locate a mechanic to perform my timing belt change.
Yesterday, June 2, 2007 I had my timing belt changed by Trusted TDI Mechanic, "TDIJetta99". I am absolutely VERY VERY satisfied and I highly recommend him to anybody in the area.

He allowed me to hang around during the installation at his home. Jason is a very meticulous mechanic and is extremely knowledgeable about these cars. I am new to the TDI world and he was nice enough to answer all my questions about other components in the engine bay, and even offered me advice about other components to check during routine maintenance. I learned a ton! He also installed a new air filter, fuel filter, cabin filter and cleaned out my snow screen. The car feels awesome. Runs like a top!
Again, I highly recommend him. Top quality work from an ASE certified master tech who is passionate about his work and takes pride in tightening every bolt precisely.
