Jetta guy just visiting Touareg.Went to local dealer to get a filter and oil.Chatted with service manager about them switching from Motul to Castrol.Told me a story about a Touareg owner that came in with an engine "clanky" noise.Almost 43k miles and had never changed the oil.Engine had severe damage.In less than an hour he bought a new Jetta and was on the road.I guess we can surmise that you can go 43k miles with no oil change before failure.
