Well, need to put the water pump/timing belt kit in my 2004 Jetta TDI wagen.

I was wondering what a fair price was at the moment and if anyone knew of a trusted TDI mechanic in the Texas Panhandle area.

At the moment, looks like my best bet is the dealer in Lubbock. They have not caused me in concern on smaller jobs in the past, so, feel fairly OK about it if I need to use them.

Just thought I'd do some checking around. A kit for it looks like the parts from idparts would be about $250.

Ideas and experiences welcome. Thanks.

Not sure how far you are from CO, but anuthee would be perfect if he's within your range. His username is Anut.

Denver is one of the closer listed trusted guy. But, Denvers about 420 from here, and if I let my wife shop in Denver long enough to get it done, I'm REALLY going to be in the hole!

However, I may have to drive to Kentucky if I can get a good job done over there for $600 (plus, my wife really doesn't like moonshine enough to break me too bad shopping over there. ;) )
