TDI Speedo signal readout

Hey guys so im working on 1 of the only things i seem to be struggling with and not sure why...

I need to convert my signal from my setup for my speedo/cluster

Does anyone have a rough idea what voltage this thing needs, as a range from say 20km/h 40km/h 60, 80, 100.

i can convert to a whole bunch of ratios but everything im trying doesnt seem to work

this is for a passat b5,5 auto cluster it currently has a audi 6 speed without a vss sensor, so im converting my abs signal for it.

Im really stumped and i dont have another vw i can test with for anytime soon

Any info helps.

as far as i know, the speedo only has the 1 signal wire, which normally goes to the vss and than grounds after the vss.

So i know it needs to read its output but why do i have nothing....

I really hope i didnt just destroy my speedo motor and thats why nothing works, for all i know maybe im on the wrong wire but im 99.9% sure i have it right

I would write a rant but ill just add to my embarassment

i spent hours going over this and that.

my speedo wasnt working because somehow i mixed up the seat belt light wire and the vss input wire on my cluster got damnit/

but halleluja it works !!
