so yesterday i took a ride out to island dragway to watch my father run his big block 396 85 monte carlo and i figured id run my 90 golf with a 1z swap for giggles. turned out we were both in the same class! i won 3 rounds and ended up facing my father in the final round where i missed 3rd gear and he whooped me good.
my best pass was a 16.80 @ 82.21 mph. not bad i guess considering the only mods are a malone tuning chip, deleted cat w/ straight-thru 2.25" exhaust and a cone filter on the MAF.
