Don't bother with them. If you can't live without it, buy an overpriced computer cable for your phone.
Hopefully your cellphone provider isn't so evil as to disable the ability to move files on and off your phone. With mine, I just upload a midi file or re-encoded audio file to use as a ring. I can also pull my pictures off without having to pay for data transfer.
Cellphone providers are evil. They make you pay extra for stuff you should be able to do yourself, well, you could do before they broke the feature.
