I have all sorts of grumpy noise from the rear of my car.
I have 144k on it. Just replaced the axle bushings last weekend and thought the noises would quiet down. No such luck. The vibrations after hitting bumps and rough roads settled down but it's still not quiet. My suspension (shocks and struts) is only about 30k miles old. The only thing not replaced is the coil springs.
I see no sagging in the car and it's stiff if I push down on the corners. Is it possible that the springs are tired and not keeping enough pressure on the rear shocks?
