How do I know if I have the rain sensor?

they are also asking if I have the acoustic inner layer? Not even sure what that is but I want it if I don't have it lol.

Look at the front of your windshield. Do you see a rain sensor? We have posted several pictures of what it looks like.

I don't know what the acoustic inner layer is.

Look at the passenger side bottom of windshield for icons. Acoustic windshields have an icon. Afaik the stock windshield isn't acoustic limiting. The after market ones which cost more are. I have the aftermarket replacement and love it.

I do NOT have the acoustic glass on the stock windsheild. I found a picture of what that symbol looks like.(see below)

I hope the new glass they are bringing has that though that would be nice! I will find out Wednesday.

just went out to look and our SEL premium does NOT have acoustic glass...
if it did would it only be in the front windscreen or all around

my guess is it's just the front windshield.

Not that I'm aware of. Maybe it's an overseas thing? I'm not really sure.

I really hope I get it though on the replacement that's getting installed on Wednesday.

Yes. It reduces noise overall. Acoustic glass is used in luxury cars to reduce road noise. Heck even F150s get acoustic windshields these days.

I would make sense that chinese market cars would get that type of glass. I'll have to keep this in mind if ours ever needs replaced.

New Glass is getting installed. OEM VW glass but it doesn't have the acoustic glass or temp symbol

basically exactly the same as stock. Oh well.
