I'm finally getting around to building/installing a CCV mod filter set-up (PVC fittings with internal filter media).
Not finding any stainless parts locally, I finally picked up some aluminum screen, and some aluminum "mesh" - the mesh is actually laundry sink lint filters. The screen is bug screen, simply to keep the mesh from getting sucked away.
I've read all the CCV-mod threads about copper scrubbies breaking down, etc., but didn't see an answer to aluminum:
Will the aluminum hold up and not break down from the caustic diesel fumes in this application?
