This might help someone else who experienced overcooling problem on Audi Q5 TDI 2012 CGLC engine. My car was overcooling and its summer it was struggling to reach operating temperature no matter how long the motor has been running. I changed the main thermostat and the problem did not go away. Apparently there is a secondary thermostat that is connected to the pipe that runs from the water pump to the EGR cooler. If this thermostat is stuck open your motor will struggle to reach operating temperature. The part number for the thermostat is 1K0 121 113 A

And replacing it fixed the issue? You have heat and proper operating temps now?

Yes changing the thermostat fixed it! the Temp is now steady at 90 degrees! Takes around 5 minutes to reach 90 degrees!
