Proper way to seal BHW oil pan?

Yup, When i put my car back together last year, I didnt seat the pan properly (now leaks).

What are the proper techniques and a proper sealant to use? Ive used Yamabond on ACVW's. What yall think?

I used Permatex ultra grey. No leaks 8 years later (have leaks in other places tho...)

Key is to make sure that the pan and block are perfectly clean and aligned.
