Okay so I just Googled 2012 Audi A3 metal shavings in my fuel filter. Whoa! I'm having info overload right now.
Why didn't I join this group a long time ago. Guess I'll call the dealership in the morning. Hopefully I can squeeze it in under the warranty. My repair Tech at my local high performance shop found the metal shavings in my fuel filter as he was doing a routine oil change and 100K mile service. Wish me luck.
