New noise from windshield wipers

My 2011 has 53K + miles on it so far and the other day I noticed a new noise from the windshield wipers. They have never made a sound before this is completely new. See the attached video clip I took today. Anyone that has any experience with this, please chime in.....

I'd check around the cowl to see if anything is stuck near the wiper motor mount (leaves, a rag). That sounds like the motors are lugging.

It sounds like it's lugging and / or a bearing is bad in the motor.. I'll have to take a closer look, but I usually fill up once a week an while filling I open the hood do a visual inspection and check the oil. I also remove any leaves at that time. Thanks for the reply.

Did you ever find the source of the noise on your 2011? My 2012 just started making a noise @ 40k miles.

Mine turned out to be a bad motor. After disassembly, all linkage moved freely and motor still made straining noise when cycled on without linkage attached.

The plastic cover that seals to the bottom of the windshield wasn't fully engaged with the molding, allowing water to drain directly onto the motor.
