none yet but I do have a 2003 gasser
What I have is a 1998 VW Golf 4 cylinder auto gasser.
After washing the car by "hand and with a hose" I went to park the car and noticed the " Engin Check light on. First thing was to check for a loose or un-closed gas cap. Checked out good. Oil good, coolant good, brake fluid up to par.

Is there any "key on/key off" sequense I should do for any resets???

Any suggestions before I go to the dealer for the Computer DiagRun Check??

find someone in your area with vagcom to have the DTC read.

If the problem goes away, I believe the CEL will disappear after 20 (??) normal start ups.

if all that checked out good, then you probally do have a problem that's going to require a mechanic...but definately find someone with a vagcom or go to the dealer...if the light is on it needs attention.
