Mobil 1 ESP 0w40 ok for 1.6 tdi?

I just changed the oil in my Skoda Octavia 1.6 tdi using M1’s 0w40 ESP oil. I noticed the engine was a tiny bit louder than before so started investigating and discovered that the oil doesn’t technically meet VW’s 507.00 standard.

should I dump this oil and refill with the 5w30 which meets the 507.00 standard?

If you need to meet the 50700 then yes, damage can be done to your emissions

thanks - putting emissions aside, are there any other other risks for engine components / dpf?

The dpf is emissions as to engine tolerances I have read of the deleted running 5/15w40 without issue.... but as always yrmv and I wouldnt do it . Engineers aren't stupid.....
