I just got my 1.9td aaz engine rebuilt. I saw them start it and it ran brought it home and got everything into the car tried to start. The glow plugs came on and I turned and there is no click or anything it won't turn over. It's been a long day I know I'm missing something simple any help would be appreciated. ?

Tricky to tell blindly over the interwebs, even moreso if this is a swap like your title suggests, but no cranking suggests an issue with the starter circuit as opposed to an engine issue:

- starter solenoid wire plugged into the starter?
- battery cable connected to the starter stud?
- battery ground properly connected?
- engine ground (can't remember exactly where it is on an MK1) attached correctly?
- clutch switch (if present) attached? Working?
- dead starter?
- defective ignition switch?

Thx it was the ignition wire.
