Check engine light turned on.
Scanned and found 4 faults: P0111, P1946, P026A, P0691.
From what I have found online it could be as easy as cleaning the MAP sensor?
Can't for the life of me find where the MAP sensor is. 2014 VW JSW. Can anyone help?

the amount of crickets in this forum is astounding!

the MAP sensor is located between the engine (cover) & battery. the plug points straight up and it's practically staring you in the face when you open the lid.

good luck :)

Thanks! Sounds pretty straightforward. I'll take a look.

Hey Borninabus,
From what I have researched, that is not the MAP sensor. I've found a few descriptions on other models. Most say its down connected to the intercooler. Anymore help on these faults is appreciated. I'm not sure how to proceed.

There are just too many to list....
The MAP (Manifold Absolute Pressure), not MAF (Mass Air Flow) sensor is located in the charge air cooling tract, between the bottom cooler hose and the intake throttle flap. It is very difficult to access as it is tight down there on the front of the engine.

VAG calls this the G71 Pressure Sensor.

These do not fail. It is more likely a wiring harness issue, or something of that nature.

Has this car been crashed and fixed? Do both cooling fans work?

Thanks Oilhammer, I appreciate you replying.
Ok, ran the car for a good drive and can confirm that both of the fans are working fine. Any ideas of how to proceed? I have erased the codes and they always come back on after a bit. The car has not been crashed and is in good shape.

So you have faults for:

The intake air temp sensor

The charge air cooler efficiency

And two for the cooling fan control

Correct?

Looking for commonality there, and it points to a fan not being able to run up to its requested speed. OR... there is something physically blocking the air flow.

yes that's correct. I don't see anything blocking the fans. I guess its most likely the fans themselves need to be replaced?
