Key fob issues

Hi there,

I have replaced my key fob battery and it worked great. Then yesterday I installed my FROSTHEATER which recommending removing the battery/tray. Now my fob only seems to unlock only the driver's door. Also, the horn doesn't beep everything time like before. Any hints??

Your settings reset. Scroll through settings in mfd.

I only have control over the clock and miles on my GOLF. Something Im not seeing?

Oh. Then you'll need vcds to program it.

You could try disconnecting the battery again. Hopefully someone more I tune with Mk4 tunes in

If the key still starts your car, you may just be able to re-pair it. There is a non-VCDS procedure you can try. Scroll down to the "Manual Programming" section of this link:

You need two keys, though, for this to work.

Or if I am following along, a key to program, and someway to turn the door lock. I have had to pull the key barrel out of my door a couple of times. Take the plastic cap off the latch side of the door in insert a T-25 if I remember correctly. Turn a little and giggle the key barrel, and repeat until key barrel pulls out. DO NOT get in a hurry and have the tension screw fall to the bottom of the door. But now a flat head screwdriver will turn the latch inside to program the key.
