Indicator/Cruise Control Stalks question

Hi,

Has anyone ever dismantled these stalks to see whats inside them?

I am hoping to place a "reset button" off of the bottom of the indicator stalk into the equivalent blank spot on the bottom of the Cruise Control stalk....so I have an extra working button.

Are there just wires running through the middle of the stem down to the column or some sort of printed circuit? I would be needing to add another wire up the middle of the Cruise stalk.

I'm hoping someone may have some closeup pics of the connector end of the stalks as well.

is it the same stalk as the one that's found on Ebay?

Just the normal Golf IV version with the cruise control on-off switch and the + - rocker on the tip.
