When i bought my car. I didnt have anything from the fan at all. The AC light wouldnt come on nothing. I could see from the front of the control panel that there was some discoloration. After pulling the WHOLE freakin interior apart to get the control panel. I found that the white plug going into the back of the control unit was damaged and after a few hours of fighting it i finally got it out and find this.

I also pull the plug on the fan motor and found rust on the plug. So I am going to say that the resistor pack is bad as well. Is there anything else that could have been taken out? I plan on replacing the control unit and resistor pack and the plug if i can find one off a parts car.
