I am just about ready to install an Espar heater into my TDI this weekend and I had a couple of questions regarding the blower fan wiring. I have a 2012 with the dial for fan speed control.
Am I able to plug the external 12v control of the blower fan directly to the fan speed that I want? Or is it going to control the fan at the speed that I leave it at?
If the answer is the latter I'll put in a resistor so I don't accidentally leave it too high and come out to a dead battery. I was thinking of wiring it to speed 1 or 2, likely 1, thoughts?
I was also going to install a 12v timer, no point in the fan running for the first bit when it isn't even pushing hot air.
