Headlight / Dash light flicker?

I have searched and searched, but I have not found an answer to this problem. It is getting worse, I am afraid I will loose my headlights driving on the highway. I kind of want to pinpoint the problem before I take it to the VW dealership. How about it has anyone fixed this problem? I have checked the battery post and I have cleaned them and made sure the conections are tight, I have run out of ideas.

have you pulled the battery, battery tray and cleaned the grounds under the battery to the chassis?

No, I have not done that yet, I will try that next and I will let you all now how it goes.
