I have 2013 passat I’m deleted and egr cooler deleted. I either get a clogged HC or leaks or both. On my 8th one now. Getting old, what's casueing this never ending battle.
I was told it's the g40 coolant use green coolant
I been putting g40 I am wondering should I switch coolant?

Never heard of G40 coolant, you need G13 coolant.

What's a 'clogged HC'?

If you decide to use a green coolant, just give the car away. Using green with the G13 will cause a sludge that will kill the engine. Anything green coolant can do, the G13 will do easily as well. Whoever told you to use it should not be entrusted with anything related to a car except maybe driving. But that only in the summer.

Hopefully no g48 (bmw blue coolant) has made its way in. Has anyone used a stop leak in the system before? Is there excessive scale buildup? Is the head gasket over pressurizing causing leaks?

Flush the system, and use G13.
