• The TDIClub classifieds section is a heavily trafficked section of the forum that encompasses want-to-buy (WTB) and for-sale (FS) threads for the entire world. Due to the demanding nature and fast pace of this section, it is imperative that you know and understand the rules. It is also important to remember that this is the only parts classifieds section.

Cross-posting and posting classifieds in the regional sections (except the dedicated thread in Ontario) is not permitted.

Multiple items should be sold in one thread. Make sure to provide a description for all items in your post along with pictures and prices. If you start multiple threads with individual items, they will be locked or combined at the discretion of the moderators.

Here is a quick outline of the classifieds section rules. If you don't follow these rules, you subject yourself to thread deletion, thread combination, infractions, or posting privilege revocation.

    Thread titles:
    • Put FS or WTB in your thread title. This will let other users know if you are selling or buying.
    • Briefly describe what you are selling. Thread titles have limited space. Be as descriptive, yet succinct, as possible.
    • Put your location in the title.
    • If space allows, put your price in the title

Title example (single item): "FS: 2004 Mk4/BEW cylinder head - Portland, OR - $500"
Title example (multiple items): "FS: MK6 fog lights, front bumper, headlights, grill - Detroit, MI"
Title example (car part-out): "FS: Mk3 Jetta parting out engine & interior - Dallas, TX"

    Thread text descriptions and pictures:
    • All for-sale threads must include pictures of the items that you are selling. One picture is sufficient, but multiple pictures with different angles will help buyers. A picture is worth a thousand words. If you don't know how to post pictures on TDIClub, see this thread: http://forums.tdiclub.com/showthread.php?t=286691
    • All for-sale threads must include a description. We don't charge per-word, so be as descriptive as possible. The more information you can provide, the easier it will be for buyers.
    • All for-sale threads must include a price. Auctions and bidding are not allowed. If you want to auction something off, use eBay.
No picture, no price, NO SALE!

    Thread maintenance/updates/bumps:
    • When you sell something, update your thread with "SOLD!" Moderators will close the thread and update the title.
    • If you have multiple items for sale, update your thread as each item has been sold. When everything has been sold, updated the thread with "ALL ITEMS SOLD!" Moderators will close the thread and update the title when all items have been sold.
    • If you bump your thread, please delete old bumps by clicking on EDIT and then deleting the old bump. This will reduce clutter in your thread and make it easier to read. It also makes you look less desperate.
    • If you drop your price, please update your first post in addition to posting the new price. If you would like the thread title changed, click on the report post icon and let a moderator know what you would like the title changed to.

    Moderator intervention and infraction points:
Moderators will be monitoring the classifieds section. If a moderator determines that you have not been following the rules listed above, corrections will be made and infraction points will be assessed to your account.

What is an infraction point? Simple - it's a system of keeping track of user behavior. A moderator can assign a point value based on the severity of the infraction, as well as an expiration date on the points assessed. If you accumulate a certain number of points, the system will auto-ban you for a predefined amount of time. The more points you accumulate, the longer your ban period will be.

One example of points is as follows: multiple threads will be combined into a single thread, with the number of infraction points assessed corresponding to the number of threads merged. If we merge four threads into one, then you will be assessed four points that expire in 30 days. When you reach five points, the system will auto-ban you for one day.*

*This is an example based on the current infraction system structure. We reserve the right to modify the infraction system at any time without notice or updates to this announcement.

Thank you for your cooperation, and good luck with your sales and searches! :)

I installed mine on the back side of the duck vent. I re route the can bus wire to give it more length. I just didn't want to bend the bus wires in a odd way.

I used the metal hanger bracket for the vent duct on my 15 Passat. Not sure how much different it is than the rest. Oh, and the Velcro does indeed stick in the cold!

I know the velcro itself sticks in the cold. I was referencing the sticky "glue" that's typically on the back of each side of the velcro.

BTW that looks like a great idea! Where did you get that bracket?

Scroll up to the very top of the page and look at the very top of the page on the right side "Login or Sign Up".
Took me a minute to find that too...

I was also referring to the sticky side, of course the Velcro side would stick, it's hook-and-loop. Didn't realize I needed to clarify.

VW was gracious enough to supply the bracket with the car when I bought it, I just used it as a mount!

I think the golfs have the same bracket... I'll have to check when I install the polar fis.

Finally installed my Polar Fis+ Last night.

I used Velcro and attached it to the top of the plastic floor vent. I have it positioned so that the USB plug is facing towards the back of the car. It is easily accessible for firmware updates.

It's great to finally have a eye on the engine real time on the MFD

Thanks again!

Installed mine on Sunday. I wrapped a couple inches of foam pipe insulation on the rigid metal tube, and a large tie-wrap to secure. did not need to remove vent, just the bottom cover.

took me a few tries to find the menus and such, but so far so good.

Does GDM plan to carry these, or is this a one time good deal?

Dumb question. How do you change to display temps in F?
In the setup there are several options you sort of have to dig for. There is one option to change degrees C to F. There is also an option to display boost in Bar, mBar, or PSI or to display torque in Nm or ft-lbs. There is also a "Boost options" that changes how it reads boost information - either thru the infotainment bus or thru the diagnostic bus (FYI: only the diagnostic bus works right for me).

IIRC, all of these settings are probably under the SCREEN-VISUALIZATIONS-ADVANCED menu.

Have Fun!

Bought the PF0 3weeks before finding my own JSW lol. Knew a good Group Buy when I saw one. Love this thing, I've had many a boost egt gauge (expensive setups too!), this is the cleanest looking setup ever.

Trying to see if the emergency blinker/brake mod works or the parking mirror mod works for anyone (if its supposed to at all on the JSW). but I'm still fiddling with it.

Would be nice if I could get the MFA information inside the PF03 screen, then I'd never have to swap out.

Thanks GSM

hey @jackchit - The group buy ended, but GDM (Diesel Dubs) always has more for those who missed the group buy. There may be more in the future, all depends on demand. I missed your earlier message, but glad you ordered one.

So psyched that so many members have been loving their install. I've learned a lot more about my engine since having this installed. The integration with the MFD is very nicely done. All we need now is some warmer weather to go for some longer rides.

I'm very happy with the polar fis!

I too have learned how long it takes for a typical regen, what EGTs to expect, what "normal" coolant temps are for the common rails (seems to fluctuate between 185 to 210F). I haven't really messed with it much beyond that for quick settings but I plan to do so once I have more free time and a warmer weather finally comes around :D

Cool...sounds beneficial, does anyone have a vcds rosstech cable? Does this replace it?
I do.

But I can tell you that VCDS can do SOOOOO much more. VCDS is for the deeper things that may be required when troubleshooting or doing routine maintenance with the car and Polar FIS is more for the comfort and convenience functions.

Polar FIS so far as I found can do some very nifty things out of the box.
-Emergency brake lights (if abs activates at highway speeds the brake lights will flash) (You can use VCDS to do this, but it is much easier to do so with polar fis)

-Passenger mirror tilt down when backing up without the need for the extra hardware that VW requires from the factory to do this. VCDS can't do this even though it adds the options in MFD to do so. Again additional wiring and hardware is required to do this the VW way. Polar FIS takes care of this by simply doing a timed duration of putting the mirror down when putting the car in reverse then back up to the standard driving position when taking the car out of reverse.

-Change the amount of blinks from the default 3 to 4 or 5 blinks when tapping the signal stulk. (You can use VCDS to do this as well, but it is much easier to do so with polar fis)

I'm sure there's a few other things that I'm missing, but those are the standouts.

Any issues with these? Does installing this unit have any negative effects? Is this better than the p3?

Any issues with these? I haven't noticed any big issues at all. Though I did notice once when I had the engine off but ignition on the MFD wouldn't display the Polar FIS info. Could be a quark as I am running the latest version software that was in beta at the time I installed it. This is a very minor issue that doesn't bother me since the car is running most of the time I'm in it anyway and it's never done that while the car was running.

Does installing this unit have any negative effects? None that I can tell

Is this better than the p3? That depends on if you want a separate display that's visible vs one that's integrated in the MFD. I prefer the stealth of having it on the MFD over a external display.

My answers in red in the quote above

In short I love it. It does exactly what I wanted and then some (mirror dipping when backing up is very handy when parallel parking :D)

Thanks! Been debating which one I want.
I thought someone said that it decreased the range of the key fob, but that issue may have long been taken care of. I know they are good about replacing units that are defective but aren't some people on their third and fourth units? Or has that also been worked out?

I've noticed no such issue with range with the key fob. seems to be the same as it was before.
