As some of you know, my shiny black Golf has taken a front hit. While it still runs and is fixable, I’ve taken the opportunity (excuse) to buy a new Passat. Now what to do with the Golf?
The Golf has more new parts than not – you name it and it’s either been replaced or reworked. This car was maintained to be a 500,000 mile car. I only got to 242,000. The interior is pristine. The body is rust and dent free – it needs a hood and front bumper. It will need the driver’s side horn pulled/straightened. It lost coolant after the accident - so the radiator's probably shot. I’ve been told that the unit body itself is straight. The airbags DID NOT deploy. This car is a genuine Wolfsberg built baby with a WVW VIN.
I’m looking for the right person who wants a car with all the bells & whistles and who wouldn’t mind doing the work to get it roadworthy again.
A list of some of the goodies:
Koni Red suspension – installed this April with all new rubber and bearings
Rocketchip Stage 3, PP520 nozzles – with a heavy foot consistently getting 47-49mpg
New Garrett VNT15 turbo
Whitbread downpipe, no cat, custom ‘muffler’ exhaust (but still have stock cat & muffler)
DG race pipe – need an EGR? I have that too.
DG short shifter
Old Navy CCV mod
‘Pop off’ style engine cover – no more 10mm bolts holding it in
New alternator
New front pads/rotors – rears have 20K mi and flush in April.
Starter’s been r & r’d
Head gasket replaced, halfway through a new timing belt
VR6 G60 clutch
Steering rack replaced
IPod adapter installed
Euroswitch – wired for fog lights, but need new euro headlights ( I have the stock ones)
5 brake light mod with rear fog light
Boost gauge
OEM steel skid plate
Frost heater
Steelies with Blizzaks AND the stock 15in Avus wheels with Bridgestone Potenzas.
Oh, and something you can’t get anywhere else – 16 years of maintenance records! I bought this car new in 1999 – I have more ‘medical’ records on it than I do for myself!

Serious inquiries only.
