FS - 02 Jetta GLS - SOLD

Well here goes.
I have decided to put up my 02 Jetta up for sale. My wife and I have decided to both return to school for our Master's dgrees. This is 1 way to help free up funds for tuition. That is my reason for selling. I hope they are right when they say you can't put a price on education. :)

To quote Paramedick , my Jetta has been "tastefully modded."
A bit of history about the car, albeit short.
I purchased the car in February '05 from Mr. Leonard Harvieux of Wild Rose Motors. It was/is in excellent shape. At that time he replaced the timing belt with a 100k belt and all associated tensioners and rollers, in addition to numerous other things to make it near perfect. I drove the car back here to Minnesota from LA where it has only spent 1 well cared for year. Since purchase, I have put alot of numerous mods into it. Some were extras, some were necessity. Car has been babied and not beaten.

Here is a rundown of the vehicle:

2002 Jetta TDI GLS
127k
Automatic
Cool White w/ tan leather
Cold weather package
Excellent shape in and out
Timing belt replaced at 100k by Leonard Harvieux.
Purchased from Leonard Harvieux @Wild Rose Motors.
Formerly California car.
No smoking
It has a couple of dings and rock chips, which aren't noticeable.
It has the typical driver's side interior door handle peel going on.
Also in typical fashion, the small latch for the armrest broke. Still functional, it just doesn't latch shut.

Extras:
Rocket Chip stage 2
PP357 injectors(Balanced and cleaned by Greg L. at Lube Specialists)
Cat 2 Micron filter
Old Navy crank case vent
Old Man Intake
Ventectomy
recoded trans
Kerma mod
Diesel Geek Panzar aluminum skid plate
Phat box MP3 player
Weathertech trunk mat
1 Taschenlampe
"Yes, It's a Diesel" Plate frame :)
Elf CRV 506 Oil, yes the $16 a quart oil
Stainless steel WingNut vacuum lines (not installed)
clear side markers

Installation/Repair - mileage

Cold weather fuel sending mod 102k
Cat Filter 111k
PP357s 111k
Air Filter 116k
OMI 116k
Old Navy CCV 116k
Intake cleaned 116k
RC2 116k
brake switch replaced 118k
New MAF 121k
Elf 121k
AT fully serviced at 122k
Italian tuneup - occaisionally ;)
Avg roughly 38 MPG since 100k(purchase mileage)

Extras included in the asking price :
4 quarts of Elf CRV
Vag com HexComm(USB)
1 Cat fuel filter
1 Mann Oil filter
2 quarts of AT fluid
1 Gallon of VW Antifreeze
1 Bentley manual
1 Chilton's manual
1 Euroswitch

I am asking 13,000/BO for all of it.
I have sold my previous A3 on this fantastic site previously (and made a donation of course:D). I am only advertising it here, for starters.

This car really needs nothing. The way it is setup, it should provide many years of fun and excellent service.

Please email or PM me with ANY questions, comments or offers you may have.

I will provide pictures shortly. Thanks for your interest!

Thanks for the constructive criticism Nick! I'll do just that!

Thanks also for the well-wishes. Hopefully the fruits of my educational labor will be a new, whatever and whenever VW decides to release in '08/'09 timeframe.

Well, it happened. I sold it. It wasn't easy but it was sold to a forum member and a fellow college hockey rube no less!!!
This made it much easier. That coupled with he is a stand up, great guy helped too. I know it will be well cared for.

Thanks to all on the forum. It is truely the best vehicle forum I have ever been a part of. The knowledge is vast and the fellowship is plentiful!

I'll be back. Once school is done, again and our family happenings settle a bit. Hopefully with a B5 variant!!!

Of course, a donation is forthcoming to Fred for the use of his forum. It save me countless dollars.

Thanks to all and to all a good night. Or something like that.....

Keir, I also wish you and your family the very, very best and sure hope to see you back here as soon as possible. From what I remember about the Jetta you just sold, it was in very prime condition for the mileage and I can safely assume that it was even better when the new owner took possession due to your tasteful mods and pride of ownership. Later!

Thanks Harv!

I hated to see it go. Seriously. It was in great shape and had some sweet additions.

I appreciate your honesty and support in all our interactions. LIke I said, when the time comes, I'll see what you have for a B5 inventory.
Keep up the good work and continued success with your business!

Thanks Keir for parting with your impeccably maintained Jedi. The drive home 1300+ miles was a dream (with the exception of driving thru Chicago). The car and all the extras performed above expectation. I look forward to getting to know the car and reading up on all the mods you put into it. I know I can count on Keir and the rest of the members to help me keep this in fine shape.
